Why did you choose to come to Bloomsburg?
I chose Bloomsburg because I really like the set up of the campus and the town reminded me of where I'm from.
What is your favorite thing about Bloomsburg?
I like having the independence and being able to do things on my own.
How would describe your college life?
I still live in a dorm and I live near all my friends that I met last year. We all pretty much do everything together. During the week I go to class and do my work by going to the lounge on my floor or I go to the library where it is easier to concentrate. Then I'll hang out with my friends after my work is done. Then on weekends I go out with my friends and relax.
If you could change one thing about Bloom, what would it be?
I would change the food. I would like more of a variety of things. They do serve a variety but I would like to see more different things besides everything having chicken on the menus. I wish they would bring the smoothie stand back to the Husky.
Interview #2:
Where are you originally from?
New Jersey
Why did you choose to come to Bloom/out of state?
I wanted to leave my hometown and have a fresh start. I didn't want to stay in Jersey and Bloomsburg isn't that far away from home. When I came to visit Bloom I felt like I was at home and that's when I knew Bloom was the college for me.
What is your favorite thing about Bloom?
The one thing that really stands out is the faculty and staff. They have been really helpful and they show they really care about you. I have never had a problem with them, like some of my friends.
How would you describe your college life?
My life can get pretty stressful with the amount of work I have to do and trying to do good in class. I have bad time management skills so that doesn't help with my stress. I'm currently having roomate trouble and that is getting in the way of things and trying to fix the issues are difficult because we don't agree on anything. When I'm not with my roomate and doing work I like to be with my friends and sometimes I'll go visit friends at their schools or go home to see my family.
If you could change one thing about Bloom, what would it be?
The acceptance of so many students and how that requires more lecture halls and less hands-on-learning.
What does this data you collect suggest to you about college life?
After I collected this data I noticed that people come to college for different reasons. People do different things to have fun. Not everyone goes out. I think the majority of students can say their stress level is pretty high when it comes to doing their work and staying on track of things.
